Orchestra 2021-2022Welcome back D90 Orchestra students and families!
Senior Orchestra Senior Orchestra consists of experienced players that pass a placement audition or who have completed all Orchestra Certificate Levels, 1-12. Rehearsals are before school from 7:40-8:20 in the South Gym, days TBA. Please enter through the Oak Street doors between 7:30-7:40 a.m. Rehearsal starts promptly at 7:40 a.m. You should all have the music by now for the upcoming audition, if not please click here. Auditions are in September during your 2nd lesson of the year. Please practice so you are prepared. Intermediate Orchestra Intermediate Orchestra consists of students with at least 1 year of experience and includes students in all grades who are working on any Certificate Level. Rehearsals are before school from 7:40-8:20 in the South Gym, days TBA. Please enter through the Oak Street doors between 7:30-7:40 a.m. Rehearsal starts promptly at 7:40 a.m. Junior Orchestra Junior Orchestra, starting in 4th grade, is our beginning orchestra, made up of students with little or no experience. All Junior Orchestra students receive one 30 minute small-group lesson during the school day. Junior Orchestra Rehearsals for 4th grade students: Monday mornings before school starting November 18th from 7:20-8:00 a.m. in the Roosevelt South Gym. Enter through Oak Street Doors. Students will get bused back to Lincoln and Willard for the school day. 5th-8th grade beginners will start with lessons only until they progress to a level where they can join Intermediate Orchestra rehearsals. PIMA is the incredible parent support group for band and orchestra. All band and orchestra families are asked to pay PIMA dues. The cost is $25 per family and the money directly supports the band and orchestra program. You can pay your PIMA dues here. District Orchestra Fee: pay orchestra fee here. New to District 90?
